Another newcomer in this forum

Post by StefD »

Hello out there

After reading in this forum for nearly one year I've now decided to join you.
- Yes I am a little bit strange.

My name is Stefan, I come from Bonn/Germany an I am playing Tin/Low Whistle
for about one year now. I have about fourteen years recorder experience so that
did help me a little bit.
I am playing Goldie, Dixon and self build whistles. Also a little bit guitar and cajon
(which I've build myself too)

I just wanted to say hello to you all. I am playing in my own Irish Music Band here
in Bonn. If you want you can visit us at: http://www.DerElligh.de.
Please be gentle with us, we are just newcomers but I am quiet proud about this
gang ;-)
You can watch videos of some concerts if you click on "videos".

I would be very happy about some comments what you think about our music.
Shure you can write in our guestbook too.

All the best,

Stefan

That was the best Molly Malone that I have ever heard. The lady sings sweetly. You look like you were meant to play the low whistle. You sure have long slender fingers.

Sausage fingers. I'm a 6 foot tall big man with big hands but I don't have sausage fingers but....I once had this most humongous of men that towered over me ask to play my 12 string guitar one day. He had great big sausage hands and sausage fingers that had spent their whole lives doing hard manual labor. Then he got his mandolin and played that for me. He played so sweetly and I laughed and laughed. That was the last instrument, besides maybe a piccolo, that should have been his instrument. But it was.

Ähm.....would you just have a short look on any Brian Finnegan - video you like.

.....I just wanted to say because you were talking about sausage fingers.
And this man can play like a god even if he has no long tall fingers.

...and thank you for all your nice comments :)

Hi there Stefan, and be welcome to the C&F!

Right now I'm at work, but I got curious about your band and I'll check the videos later at home. By then I'll let you know my (probably worthless) opinion!

Enjoy your time here at the C&F!

Cheers!

Edit: this was my 100th post :D

Feel free to do so. Everytime.
Thanks :-)

I will watch your blog soon but now I will meet my band. We have to practise for the next
gigs.
CU later.

edit: I've watched your blog. Very nice! :-)
Would be great if you could mention us there.
