FS: C#/D red Paolo Soprani accordion

Post by TheSilverSpear »

I inherited this accordion, believed to be from the 1960s, a couple years ago, and I've concluded that I'm unlikely to learn how to play it. It's a beautiful instrument in immaculate condition that should have an owner who plays it.

It was rereeded and retuned by Theo Gibb three or four years ago. I've been told it's four-voice.

Asking for £2000. I'm based in Glasgow.

A wee correction. the box is 3-voice, not 4.

Updating with more information, after opening the box last night with a friend who knows what he's doing.

It was refurbished and rereeded by Lars Hansen in Copenhagen in 2013 and changed from G/C to C#/D. The voices are LMM.

The middle reeds are Cicarelli TAM. The low reeds are Binci.

The chords are 1950s Paolo reeds, as are the high basses. The low basses are Cagnoni.
