Wooden whistle makers?

Post by fruladog »

I'm having a senior moment. I found a comprehensive list of wooden whistle makers recently. Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it. Does anyone know of such a list? Thanks.

Abell, Syn, Bleazey, Busman, Dion, Grinter, Hoover, O'Brien, Lon Dubh, Rose, Seery, Simpson, Oz, Stewart, Weston, Swayne, Sweetheart.

That's my list of current active wooden whistle makers. I don't think it's complete though.

Thinweasel.com doesn't work either (hasn't for at least a year). You'll get something if you try the site, but it definitely AIN'T Glenn's site!

There's also a guy in Australia named Ian Simpson that make a screamin' good Hi-D. I don't know if he makes other keys. I've only ever had one come through the store and was too broke that week to keep it. Been kicking myself for the better part of a year.

I'm sorry, but the first image I got in my head was of the Seven Dwarfs returning from work...Whistling. :D

Excellent research, BTW. Thanks for this!
