Kevin Henry & Michael Flatley, together again

Post by psmithltd »

I thought this might be of interest. I was emailed this by Pat Cloonan and thought people might like to see it. I am not sure what exactly the context of the photo was, something at Gaelic Park in Chicago.

I came across this recently as well, on

Is it just me, or is Flatley starting to resemble Liberace? Nice to see him playing flute anyway.
Kevin looks like he's trying to decide which cautionary tale to lay on that kid.

Now that you mention it, he does! But, he's got a long way to go to get that Liberace FLASH! He's just missing it there, completely!

Looks like Kevin is going to shoot the kid a spitball-he's looking him right in the eyes too!

I remember reading an interview somewhere with Liam Clancy, who talked about meeting Liberace. Liberace rubbed his shoulder and told him what a lovely sweater he had. Liam said his skin crawled.

Liam's or Liberace's skin crawled?

I reckon they'd both look great in a woolen, arran pattern jump suit, matching cape and pom pom hat.

Artist's impression anybody?

Regards,

Harry.

You'd crawl out of bed, too, if Liberace had done that to you. I'm not sure I'd have repeated that in an interview!

I figure Liam was better positioned vis-a-vis his own skin
to determine if it crawled. Unless Liberace's skin REALLY
crawled...but that doesn't bear thinking about.

Did anybody know that Liberace studied boxing?
His father made him learn so he would stop getting
beat up.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Flatley is/was a boxer. His dad probably foresaw Lord of the Dance, somehow.
