Which slowdowner are you using?

Question: Which slowdowner software do you suggest, as being the

easiest to use? I have been thinking about purchasing this but have no

experience with what is currently available. Any ideas/suggestions on

this would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,
I am using BestPractice: http://www.xs4all.nl/~mp2004/bp/
Main reason is that you can get it for free. I have tested some of the more expensive ones but no one did convince me for a change.
Alternatives: Amazing Slowdowner and Transcribe!

I'm using the Amaing SlowDowner, but that's because I purchased it before I found out about the free ones.

It's great, but I'm sure the free ones would do what I need it for.

I use Transcribe. I think the shareware fee is something like $15. I'm quite pleased with it.

I use Amazing Slow Downer for MP3 and WAV files. It's excellent.

For midi files, I use van Basko Karaoke Player. Also excellent.

Pacemaker Plug-in with Winamp player. Lets you also change the key so that you can play along with Dervish, Matt Molloy, or any other E-flatty using your favorite D-whistle!

Current versions of Windows Media Player (free) allow you to slow down music by as much as 1/2.

Sorry - couldn't resist. My slowdowner software of choice comes in various shades of brown, is usually packaged in glass and is mainly manufactured in the Scottish Highlands. (!)
