Why Coldplay is sissies.

Post by Dale »

Ok, I'm too mad to get the grammar right.

I've been holding Coldplay tickets for a concert scheduled for tonight in Birmingham for, I dunno, 8 years or something. Now, I hear on the radio that they've cancelled. These guys are sissies.

DESTROY ALL YOUR COLDPLAY CDs.

That is all.

The weather turned nasty. It was too cold to play.

I'll pass the information on to my daughter, Dale. Although I have this very odd feeling that she's not going to care all that much :P

When Coldplay have a dinner party, do they listen to recordings of accountants?
You don't stop playing when you get old. You get old when you stop playing.

It better be good. We saw Danu last month with their Bodhran player (broken leg) and they still stayed on the beat. Saw Dervish last year - flute guy was gone (dental problems) and the stand-in did just fine.
If Birminham has power and half the band can walk, they should play.

By the way, did you mean sissies because they are not hardy or was is sexual preference reference. Doesn't some current movie suggest that liking Coldplay suggests one is gay?

It really better be. I'm only disappointed, as are my 2 daughters and one of their boyfriends. But, you know, this is a big enough band that people will travel here and some will come tonight from out ot state not even knowing they cancelled the morning of. So, unless lead singer-boy is in surgery right now....

According to this, they were formed in 1997, so right at 8 years.

Tell us something.: I've picked up the tinwhistle again after several years, and have recently purchased a Chieftain v5 from Kerry Whistles that I cannot wait to get (why can't we beam stuff yet, come on Captain Kirk, get me my Low D!)

I'd honestly not even heard of them until the last year or so...but then again, I dont listen to much raido...radio sux.
And for the record, I'm not that impressed with them either...

There are bands that do it better.

And get less recognition.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

What a coincidence. Gwyneth Paltrow was on Jon Stewart last night.

Cold Play is the sanitized, radio friendly version of Radiohead. It's like Radiohead without the expiremental aspect, which is really the whole appeal of Radiohead in the first place.

And apparently they is sissies as well, not that it was unexpected. :x
