(retitled): San Jose C & F Party - March 24
(retitled): San Jose C & F Party - March 24
<EDIT>
Currently, it looks like everyone is OK the dates below, and I've made an executive decision - March 24, unless serious conflicts crop up. Hope to see you then!
March 24 - Party date
March 31 - 1st alternate date
<END EDIT>
Looks like that time of year again -
What's the interest in another San Jose C & F party? Once again, the available dates are Saturdays ranging from late January to early April, with the noted exceptions:
Jan 27
Feb 3
Feb 10
Feb 17 - Not Available
Feb 24 - Not Available
March 3
March 10
March 17 - We're willing, but probably a conflict for most folks!
March 24
March 31
April 7
Let's try to find a date that works for the most people - replies on this thread or email are best since my C & F message box overflowed the last two times
For those who haven't been here before, we're in southern San Jose, a couple of miles south from Highway 85 (near the intersection of Almaden Expressway and Camden). These are usually casual potluck affairs with people arriving anytime in the afternoon or evening - bring a dish if you can, but the important thing is to bring yourself and have a good time.
Once we firm up a date, please email me for directions if you don't know the way.
Looking forward to seeing (or meeting) you -
Dana C.

I could do the early Feb. dates as well, and am pretty much open other than Feb. 18 (which is my daughter's birthday...much as she enjoys these gatherings, I'm fairly certain she's going to want to spend her 14th birthday doing something more "teenagerish").

I vote for one of the later dates. Maybe this kid will have settled down a bit by then and I'll feel more inclined to do things other than sleep.

A belated congratulations to you and yours. Ah, the days when they are new..... precious time it is.

Any Saturday works for me. My turn to drive, so Weeks will have to deal with whatever you dish out.

Have to get you in the mood for your traditional rendition of "All for my grog", after all.

I know, he gets to drink and I have to be sober on the way home. (Unlike last time.)

The solution is simple: come early, hoist a few early, then taper off onto tea, or coffee, or juice, or Red Bull an hour or two before you need to get on the road.
Or just plan on crashing at our place for the night, if need be. Half a smiley at most on the last - I'd rather friends stay the night than have any of you on the road when you don't feel up to it.
(Fear not, prospective first-time guests, even if you have kids - despite all the talk, I've never seen anyone get beyond "merry" at these parties. Something about being too busy playing, or talking, or listening to drink much, I suspect. But we talk a good game. )
