'Tis Russian, tovarich.crookedtune wrote:"Tin whistle.ru"..... hmmm, you suppose that's the Greek version of 'Tinwhistles 'R Us"?
The page is of course about tweaking a Gen. The pix are helpful, and gave it away as I don't read Russian, but I was wondering about this one:
Huffing to get in the mood?

Holy Cow! Whatever happened to copyright?
Look at the background image on this page:

Now look at a photo I took of my most played whistles in July of this year:
Amazing coincidence!
Just so it's clear - I'm amused and flattered. And I hereby release the rights to this image to the general public.
But a photo credit would be nice. Then I would have my name on a Russian website.

Daniel, that's Slayer's site. If he didn't think to ask, you can certainly tap him for that credit. He's a good guy.dfernandez77 wrote:Holy Cow! Whatever happened to copyright?

I know it's Slayer's site. And I'm not altogether concerned about a photo credit to be honest.anniemcu wrote:Daniel, that's Slayer's site. If he didn't think to ask, you can certainly tap him for that credit. He's a good guy.
I just thought it was humorous; I was looking at the site and thought "something seems familiar about this." Then I scrolled a page and the dim bulb over my head crackled into life.

A lot of my Russian friends would have probably done the same thing...
for some reason its not an issue over there.
Not the first time I've been witness to it.
Its just an observation.
I love my Russian friends btw... so don't get me wrong.

Ok.. Ok..Aanvil wrote:A lot of my Russian friends would have probably done the same thing...
Let me be clear - again.
It's NOT an issue for me.
I was joking around.
Right after I made the first post, I sent the high resolution 5 Mega-pixel image to slayer without him asking for it. And I told him he can use it any way he wants.
I can tell he enlarged the background image on the site. I figured if he likes it he might as well get the best quality image available.
Everyone relax Ok? I wasn't trying to make anyone guilty - I was trying to have a little fun.
Fun - ok? Fun.
