the reason I asked is that the picture looks different to the ones I'm used to seeing for Pakistani pipes

It looks like a Kirk Lynch chanter. Many of the early Pakistani-made sets were in that style.

Just to make sure that everyone understands, a Pakistani company got a hold of one of a Kirk Lynch set back in the 90's - they copied the outward design but were NOT able to reproduce the sound and quality of a real Lynch set. These Pakistani sets do not represent a real Lynch set.
