Repeal of the Union

Post by dunnp »

Anyone know what volume and issue of An Piobaire I can find a transcription of Dinny Delaney's Repeal of the Union?

I'm sure its in there in an old volume.

For those interested:

Look under Irish Music Recordings

Thanks,

No idea, but here's the Repeal The Union(sic) from thesession.org. Close enough for government work, as they say.

The notation from an píobaire was reproduced in Ceol an Phíobaire.

The revised and augmented Ceol an Phíobaire (including the transcription of 'Repeal') is available on Amazon:

Great publication. Well worth having.

Harry.

tommy keane did transcriptions of the tunes from his albums and this tune appears in the second, the wind among the reeds, although i'm not sure if this is the setting you are looking for:

It's a grand book.

I just got my copy of Ceol an Phíobaire from Amazon. Very good publication at first glance, love the pictures and bavkground info on the tunes. Thanks for mentioning it earlier in this thread
