Antoinette McKenna RIP

Post by bensdad »

Sad to report I just heard from Pat Sky that Antoinette died on Saturday.
Delightful person, singer, harpist.
Condolences to Joe.

Very sad news. My condolences to Joe and Antoinette's family and friends. I've always liked the sound of Antoinette's harp and Joe's pipes. We first heard Antoinette and Joe play live here in southern Sweden in the early 90's when they did a workshop and evening concert at a place called Skurup folkhögskolan.

I am deeply saddened by this news. I heard Joe and Antoinette when they toured the USA. Outstanding harper with an extremely funny wit.

I am so sad to hear this. Her recordings of "Fill Fill a Run O" and "I'll Give My Love a Breast of Glass" are some of my all time favorites. Her talent moved me deeply. Rest in Peace, indeed.

This is sad news. I saw Joe & Antoinette @ McCabe's in Santa Monica years ago.
What a lovely harp player & singer. I always especially enjoyed "The Gartan Mother's Lullaby", when she sang it.
My condolences to the family.
