I thought Eric Rigler Snr wis on the Titanic and he threw his set to his wife in the lifeboat and and said to her make sure my great grandson learns how tae play these coz they will make a moving picture o this when he grows up and he can make a few boab frae it.Then the chimney stack crashed on his head and the rest as they say is history...fortunately for uilleann piping none o this is true..except Eric Rigler did indeedy make a few boab frae the then worst maritime disaster in History.

Wrong. Check the MV Wilhelm Gustloff. I,m surprised at you making such an inaccurate statement and believing the Hollywood hype.

Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

Huh? What are you on about, PJ? Titanic: sank 1912; MV Wilhelm Gustloff: sank 1945. Wasn't even built when the Titanic sank.

"An estimated 9,400 people were killed in the sinking, possibly the largest known loss of life occurring during a single ship sinking in recorded maritime history."

Pj forgiven r needs to go to spec savers right nuff.I wrote at the time which was 1912.Even basic maffs will shew ye that 1945 came33years after Titanic so can have no relevance whatsoever to my statement relating to 1912.Feckin hell this is ma first wee post fee ages and already ye are misreading it and arguing .Nothing changed then....
