OK..... On Topic !!!
It's nice to be a Gift-Giver like Paddy !!!
It shows what a BIG HEART he has for others.
I have done the same thing with other kinds of Bagpipes, that came my way.
I regret that I haven't had any "Marque" of Irish Pipes to give as a Gift.
I do have it in my will that my children will get my collection.
What they do with all of it is up to them to decide.
MEANWHILE:
Thank You Tommy
for continuing your thread "On-The-Udder-Side" as the "Dubhs" are wont to say !

Re: Photo journal of repairs to Rowsome set for Paddy Keenan
I have posted some initial pictures on my FB page if any of you want to see the 'before' shots. I cleaned a lot of the tarnish off the metal work to see what lies beneath. This is going to be a huge job and will take a bit of time. I will be doing any of the work in my spare time (which is becoming very scarce these days). It is such an honour to be permitted to restore the work of a master pipemaker. Just bought a nice Myford lathe so I have a new toy to play with too.

The set looks fairly rough. You've got a bit of a job to do.
I didn't see a chanter. Is there one with it?
Finally, do you know if it's Leo or Willie?
