A piper friend of mine asked me about companies that insure musical instruments. Anyone (in the US) recommend a company? His homeowner's insurance is of no help in this.

Here's a link to a discussion dating back to 2003 about musical instrument insurance:

Regulations and companies may have changed, hopefully there is something of use there.

Marsh Affinity Gp/Seabury & Smith offers Instrument Ins to AFM members (of which I am one) at a special rate. Everything I use on a daily basis is completely covered, for a very affordable yearly premium. :)
