Hi Pat and pipers, Cathy Sky here. I think what Pat meant is that the gathering here in the mountains IS the weekend of the 24th, but people start arriving on Friday night and usually there is a very pleasant session that evening. So you could start your weekend on the 23rd. Last year there was very nice food available for dinner out on the deck of the Inn. You can dine while looking out over the green misty mountains. If the Skyline isn't cooking, there is another clifftop restaurant right across the road. Think lofty!

I talked to Mike Thrift, the Inn owner and there are still a few rooms left for the piping weekend. They are a small inn, so book soon if you want to stay there.

As Cathy said, its a very pleasant place with good food and Mike is a beer affectionado so he's usually got a good selection of craft beers and microbreweries to sample.
