Glad I am not Irish........

Post by patrick Jacob »

Hi all

I think it's a hard bottom D at the end. It sounds like that anyway.

Look at this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n--JnAwirk

Perhaps this will become the most popular piping tune ever........ :o

Fantastic, wonderful entry and it should ensure that Ireland isnae saddled wi the contest again if'n they can produce stuff like this.Trouble is it may well backfire and they could win wi this.Seriously.
Does anyone have the dot for the pipe solo at the end ? I would love to learn it it would be good for church .

I don’t see how this has anything to do with Uilleann Pipes. Seriously...if you want to post rubbish like this…do it in the Pub. Its stuff like this that keep the veteran C&F people from posting.

Lighten up man.it is a bit o fun frae Patrick nothing more. If'n ye don't like it pass on to the next topic.Simplicity itself.
Saying ...." Its stuff like this that keep the veteran C&F people from posting."is altogether too presumptious. How do ye know ?
More than likely it is the inane posts on wot colour should ma popping strap be or its ilk and the more than unhelpful comments frae some o ye when help is proffered that is the cause.
Now can I suggest ye watch the video again and calm doon a bit or move on.

The acoustic version's pretty catchy:

No hard D, though.

(just trying to keep things on forum topic)

Uilliam...Never said that the Video wasn't funny...I simply said that there is a Pub to post Non-Uilleann Pipe posts. :P

"Please keep topics in this forum Uilleann Pipes orientated. Non-Uilleann Pipes now have a forum of their own, please use that for non-Uilleann Pipes posts.

Please use the Post Structural Pub for any other off Topic posts.

Thanks,

-JES."

Are you sure it isn't a hard E on a C chanter?

In any event the song hits the right note - including some subtle Ottoman touches to grab the SE European vote, while being emblematic of postmodern Ireland. Don't forget that Dustin is also famous for his work for cherridy, blending old values with new.

The whole thing is excruciating - I love it! How can I copy it onto my MP3 player, which I happen to have plugged in at the moment?

You should be aware that the preferred term in this instance is not "acoustic", but rather "unplucked" :D .
