reed mechanics

Post by amackenz »

I'm a relatively new player, and I am having trouble with my chanter reed. I realize this is rather common, but I was wondering if someone could give me a quick synopsis on how to work with the reed. For example, what will moving the staple up or down do, or pushing the entire reed down more. Thanks

Reed mechanics...
If you find one, send him round to see mine...
I think it just needs its oil/filters changed.
