L.Rowsome pipes found
From Bobdunsire forum:
"Well I need some advice, help, info on this set of pipes I found at a house sale in Jersey. I'm a highland piper but have no experience in uilleann pipes. I need to get this set restored but don't know who to turn to. I know they are in desperate need of repair and are missing some pieces. I recently viewed Jeff's thread on his found pipes and decided to share these with everyone. Any info and help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I want first shout! Anyone care to help sponsor the restoration of this set. Any interest Ken McCleod? If I were to get the local conservatorium to perform the Brendan Voyage with me as the local soloist. Would you consider such a scheme as you did with the Legacy set? I could happily send you a complimentary live recording if the event happened.
Or is it just plane whishfull thinking.
Cheers L42B

- Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

It is a little farthur afield than Ken McCloud, but Benedict Koehler in Vermont US would be your man for this job.uilleannfinlander wrote:I need to get this set restored but don't know who to turn to. I know they are in desperate need of repair and are missing some pieces

I don't think so. The only thing not featured in the pics, as far as I can tell, is the "standing joint" for the baritone, which you'd expect to be hidden behind the regs anyway. Looks to be at least 95% complete.Dionys wrote:... Looks like the drones are missing the lower parts?
Agreed, the original Leo R. reeds are maybe worth as much as the set!

Albany is the Capitol of New York. New York was once New Amsterdam. Why they changed it I can't say. People just liked it better that way. Oh, and Istanbul was once Constantinople. Now it's Istanbul and not Constantinople. So, If you've a date in Constantinople she'll be waiting in Instanbul.Beau Comiseau wrote:
Also, why isn't the US state of which New York is the capital not New Yorkshire?
Now I'm getting angry at my American cousins!
