I'll second this - and do you know who the set was originally made for

Whether I can find the readies is yet another question that I suspect a lot of people are asking themselves

Tell us something.: I’m changing my location to my actual address. My previous location was a reference to Joyce’s Finnegans Wake.

I'm sure Mark will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that this set was made for a piper named A. J. Mullin (there is a little silver plate on it in the shape of a harp upon which is name is inscribed). The set is wonderful and I have to pleasure to see and hear it on a regular basis (Mark is my teacher).

Tell us something.: I am a walrus, I am a tea pot. John Lennon said that but people see him as a guru. Well, tell, you what he also almost became a piper asking Paddy Keenan to teach him. (bleep) got bored & went on the sitar and the rest is history.

I believe there exists a photo of said AJ Mullin. Does anyone know who he was? A resident prehaps of New York or Philadelphia?

Yes, I believe there may be a couple floating around. Perhaps on D'Arcy's fabulous site?

I found some photos on the "Picture your pipes" thread (scroll about half way down the page):

By the way, my offer of $500 still stands. Plus, I'll throw in 3 winter tyres, some bailing twine and a 4-year-old piebald cob that answers to the name of "Rumsfelt".
