sessions in SantaFe on StPats

Post by giles b »

Hi all, I find myself in SantaFe, New Mexico, at an opening of an exhibition I am having here. I found myself a tin whistle at a music store here and am wondering if anyone knows of any sessions here where I can unleash it tomorrow (17 March). PM me if you do, it would be much appreciated,
Cheers,
Giles

I checked <A HREF="http://www.thesession.org/sessions/inde ... rch=Search" >The Session</A>. They mention one place:

Murphy's Law At The Quality Inn
Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA

I'd rather be atop the foothills than beneath them.

Hmmm...session playing on St. Patrick's Day.

The pub should be full of people who (without waiting for a break in the music of course) are likely to lean in a bit too far and ask, "Yeah, but do you play any IRISH music?!?" :boggle:

But all kidding aside playing in a session would be my first choice on how to spend St. Pat's. Instead I'll be raking in the big bucks (or medium bucks but that another thread isn't it) for playing in a couple of pubs. It's kinda like having to work a double shift on Christmas day. The extra cash is nice but you miss out on all that Turkey (or Guinness in this case...can't get too tipsy when your on the payroll).

Good luck in your search. May your Guinness flow free!
