Bluegrass
what's the matter with liking bluegrass? It has some of the best musicians around playing that music. Plus it's the music of a people, so it's like someone who isn't irish saying irish is bad. Bluegrass is evolved distantly from celtic music, but it is so different.

Re: Bluegrass
There's nothing wrong with bluegrass. I grew up in the part of the US where bluegrass originated and flourishes till this day. I didn't care for the video in that Eileen appeared to have the piper on stage just so that the audience wouldn't look at their tickets to make sure they weren't at a Bill Monroe tribute concert.blainemcquinn wrote:what's the matter with liking bluegrass? Chris certainly does justice to his regulators. Some nice off-the-knee chanter work too. It was interesting watching his hands - his right thumb hardly touched the chanter when he was playing the regs.
Are you sure it's a Williams set? The reg keys don't look like DW's work. It looks more like an Arpha set to me.BigDavy wrote:Chris McMullen - the Downfall of Paris on a Williams set.

Yep you are right PJ it is an ARPHA set - my mistake, I thought it was the Armagh Pipers Williams set he was using.PJ wrote:Chris certainly does justice to his regulators. Because Davy Spillane is the sort of piper that appeals to the sort of person who does video montages on Youtube .BigDavy wrote:Wonder why Davy Spillane is the piper of choice for those people doing video montages on youtube?
