There's always something available from the Padre's site, and he don't list no useless shighte.
The fact of the matter is, if you want a good and playable set of pipes, you're gonna to have spend the cash and time waiting for them. You may be quick or lucky enough to find a great set through online sellers, but you will still need to be patient in waiting for the right set to come along... and
and it will, in time.

I've been messing around for about 4 years now, and listened to many wonderful pipers, and their pipes, and I have to say my Kirk Lynch 1/2 set is right up there. As for tone, it is special and as close as you can get... regarding it's sound, which I like much better than a Rogge, or Froment or Gallagher. I've 'listened' to them. I waited a year and a half, which is a very fair amount of time.
This is not supposed to sound like it's written in stone, and my opinion only, concerning what I like to hear.
Jeff

- Tell us something.: Sets in D and B by Rogge and flute by Olwell, whistles by Burke and Goldie. I have been a member for a very long time here. Thanks for reading.

The exchange rate between the dollar and euro has really messed things up fo those of us here in the states. Of course, makes US made pipes much more appealing for those outside of the US. I wonder if pipe makes over here are seeing more overseas business?
I tell ya, a time machine is the ticket. Back a few years and pick up that Fromment half-set for under $1000 and a month wait.
