The All-Ireland Fleadh 2007 is to be held in Tullamore, Co. Offally.
Strangely, after trying to secure the Fleadh for this past couple of years, Ballina withdrew their bid on Saturday, leaving Tullamore uncontested for next year.
By Sunday night in Letterkenny, all hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses around Ballina were booked out for next year, so, it's a bit of a laugh that the Fleadh isn't going there after all.
Anyway, Tullamore despite a bad enough reputation, should be a good enough town for a Fleadh. There's loads of pubs, 3 or 4 hotels and a good apreciation of music in that part of the country.
