Cool, another member for the pregnant pipers club!! :o

Seriously, it can be done (gets a bit uncomfortable though). There is an old Northumbrian Pipers trick that sometimes works - Putting the belt of the bellows over your left shoulder instead of around your waist, and yes, I've tried it!

Congradulations.

Soon you'll realise that playing the concert pitch pipes wakes the baby and you'll want to trade them in for a nice quiet flat set ...

Great idea!! Justine if you need to have your concert set put in exile for a bit when the baby comes, I'll take care of it really well!!!

My son was born on December 14th. We tend to celebrate his Birthday earlier in the year.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! And I'll remember the advice, Becky....

I'm not giving up my concert pitch set, though, in case anyone is wondering about that. :P

Best wishes! I've known since Az let that remark drop a couple of months back. It's very exciting. And I think if the baby is up and crying at 4 am anyway, you might as well get some practice time in. Might soothe the little one (if not the neighbors).

I would work better than "Swan Lake" which was played for me by my mother when I bawled. To this day I can't stand it.

I tried envisioning JES in a tutu tippy-toeing cross-stage to the music of Swan Lake. Suddenly a scene from Disney's Fantasia popped into my head.
