I make drums (www.metloef.com), which one might argue the talent necessary to do..but it keeps me in pipes. Otherwise working on the dissertation (www.altabadia.it)...!

I'm reasonably kind to small children and animals. Otherwise, no talent and only marginal social skills.

Violin making, building hardanger fiddles and nyckelharpas - quite successful. Breeding Leopard Geckos - quite successful. Trying to catch escaped leopard geckos and crickets - not quite so successful. Trying to train a thick Staffordshire Bull Terrier - oh,...forget it!

Are you 100% certain it isn't stubborn instead of thick? :D

No, it is definitely thick. I was walking her on the lead and she was growling at another dog across the road. She was so busy growling that she went full pelt into a concrete bus shelter. The thing rang like a bodhran! She just picked herself up and carried on growling...

I pulled a calf out of a cow with a twisted uterus today. :D

I play several instruments with varying levels of expertise and keep a Saltwater Reef tank and a heavily planted Amazon tank. Worked my way through Veterinary school breeding tropical fish...150 aquarioums in a 2 bedroom apartment.

Play 1-2 gigs a month with the family band to raise money to buy baby formula for an orphanage in Haiti.

Oh yeah, and I teach science to my homeshooled kids and run a crazy online flute store (just to kill some of that spare time :boggle: )
