Why bother with e-bay?

2 copies of the LP for sale at:
http://www.gemm.com/c/search.pl?currenc ... 0&Go!.y=11

Cheapest seems to be NPU who seem to have the cassett for just 7 euros

CSIF 1008 Stone in the field

Fenn music have the LP for 12 euros:

$69.30 and $28.75 at Gemm. Bit steep prices. I got mine off Ebay for something like $15 I think. The Green Linnet cassette left off Breandan Breathnach's liner notes, also the pic of Tommy with his pipes.

...how about the worst?
It's true that you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar - but a big, steaming pile works best of all.

There is a good recording of Tommy Reck that was made by Pedar O"Loughlin (in 1960 I think). I'm not sure where you can get this though. Someone here may know. Kevin Reitman is a good source for this kind of stuff.

If you can find this it has some good examples of his playing, 19 tracks in all.

I am?

I'd heard about people making this an official release, maybe NPU will put in their line of Master Pipers CDs, where it belongs. So I'd wait until it's in stores, with better sound etc.

There's a few videos of Tommy Reck floating about, too. He attended the New Year's Tionol in Kenmare, Co Kerry in the late 1980s.
