Come on Mikko ... what is money after all: just some value-added stuff, which people trade goods for. But it's nice to see that you're actively thinking about a nice wedding gift for me! You still have 3 weeks or so to think of something as nice for Jeannette. Maybe some GHP ?!? :o
But seriously: isn't your full-set ordered ?!?
Vi hörs,

This sounds like Sylvain Barou's rig that was made in the late 1980's that he sold in March 2005? Looks like a very nice instrument. The price on the uilleann list says "approx $9500 USD".

I so want this set...........

But I am young, so I must put the money into retirement so I can someday buy fancy overpriced sets by big name pipemakers to play with my arthritic fingers.

I will sell without the Hillmann chanter too, so the price for the Williams body is EUR 7,500 or the dollar equivalent.

This sounds like the opportunity of a lifetime. Beautiful set there. If I was into D sets I'd snap it up in a minute...might anyway in a couple months if it hasn't sold yet. I'm curious why we sometimes see William's sets being played with another maker's chanter.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to examine many sets of pipes in situ. I have no clues on how or why pieces and parts gets moved around but it happens a lot. The Rowsome set on eBAY was missing its chanter, for instance.

I'd snap it up in a flash as well, but a D fullset is on its way to me eventually, and the cash I spent on it has left me destitute. I won't be able to make it up to the GNIPC tionol this year, and that has me bummed out big time....*sigh*

If you sold your pipes, you could afford to attend all of the tionols!
