I forgot how nice it is to have a new brucereed for my chanter...been playing the last for about three years or thereabouts
nearly effortless to get a note
new synthetic drone reeds for the first time, too. I can't really decide which I like better. I don't notice much of an air-requirement difference between them and my all-cane ones, and these seem louder and a bit harsher. It would take the direst of weather to make the cane ones misbehave...we'll see...not that i have complaints, mind you...i just need to play with them more.
ah, but the chanter reed...makes me happy...
