Who's this old duffer?

Willie Rowsome set he has? Reg caps look a bit Harrington but the teardrop keys look Egan.

From http://www.irelandinprints.com, which also has a nice pic of Pat McCormack and his fiddler brother, and the pipers at the Feis Ceoil, 1901, which was used on the back of the 70s Piping Rock LP.

That old guy?

Why that's me in 5 years.

OK, OK, 2 years.

:D

I also like the pic of the group of pipers from 1905... gotta love those old bowler hats!

Thanks for the link, Kevin.

I have a print of the McCormacks picture from this company (hanging in my workshop) and it is very high quality, plus just a great picture. My plan is to get a copy of the Peter Laban picture with Kitty the concertina player to hang next to it.

Can you elaborate on that Thomas? Why do you think this?

Patrick.

Because he has the same moustache and miserable look as Doran sr has in his photograph?

It isn't Doran though, I have seen the picture, with identification of the piper, but couldn't find it last night. Saw Doran sr and for a moment entertained the same thought as Thomas.
