Frankie Gavin held the First Annual Frankie Gavin Grande Fiddle Slimposius in Gall-way City earlier on this year. How dare he! He's practically not even dead yet!
In my opinion it should have been a flute fleshtable because he is one of the besht at those chops that I've ever heard. Superb phrasing...mmmmm...
Anyway, on the subject of male ego, sexuality, commercialism and the price of a damned good highlighted mullet hair 'do' (remember?), can anybody tell me why we shouldn't have festivals for people who are still NOT pushing up proverbial dasies and, while I'm at it, can we not just line the rememberance commitees up against a wall and promptly forget about them?
Let lying dogs sleep and all that: I wish some of 'the departed' were around to offer apologies for offences commited under their name, direct funds generated under their name, or just act the lad/lass in their own honour and on their own terms.
As Pat Mitchell says: "If you're looking for sympathy its in the dictionary somewhere between 'sh*t' and 'syphilis'.
Regards,
Harry.

This is much too funny for the "I can beat my breast louder than you" bleeding hearted liberals in the pub. We surly UPers have to keep up appearances, don't we? Besides, where else could you go to hear a soulful "I'm not quite dead yet" or a plea for a "Harry Bradley Remebrance Festival" but here amongst the damned?JES wrote:suited for the poststructural pub?

I'd rather be atop the foothills than beneath them.
