GB is a nice tune by itself as well. Are you playing it in D maj or Minor? I've taken quite a liking to the minor version myself, and have been playing it after a slow air. Sometimes into Cliffs of Moher.

Tell us something.: I've been playing the uilleann pipes, flute and whistle for about 18 years or so. I've been listening to Irish and Scottish traditional music for almost 40 years now.

Preceded by The Hag with the Money, then Garrett Barry's, and into The Black Rogue (An Roghaire Dubh). Take a sip of stout, repeat.

Speaking of An Róghaire Dubh, like most of these tunes there are several versions out there. I really like Mícheál Ó Brían's version of The Drones and the Chanter Vol. 2. So I ended up transcribing that version. Well more or less, there is a bar or two I couldn't quite get.

Anyway, if anyone has alternate ABC's for that one I'd love to see 'em as it really is a great tune.

I tend to do a Faher's, Garrett Barry's and Munster Buttermilk set. They're cracking good tunes that end on a nice hard bottom 'D' and have loads of crans to boot!
