Lix, nope, only the back D is scalloped in the picture. If you go to Marc's Vision page you will see he keeps a pretty straight cylinder on his chanter.

If you start with a chanter that has some amount of scalloping, like I'm doing with my Williams chanter, you'll find that switching over to a non-scalloped one will take a certain amount of re-training your fingers. It depends, I would imagine, on what you start out practicing on... you get quite used to it, scalloped or not.
