Tell us something.: I am a walrus, I am a tea pot. John Lennon said that but people see him as a guru. Well, tell, you what he also almost became a piper asking Paddy Keenan to teach him. (bleep) got bored & went on the sitar and the rest is history.

yep, as my set is nickel plated, and the regs brass, they don't quite go together. Also just welcomed the arrival of our baby boy, and need to realise some capital. :)

Congradulations on the baby. What's his name?

You'll probably be thinking of buying a flat set now - easier to get the baby to sleep with a flat set than with a full powered concert set!

Brian Howard was making regs 20 years ago?
:-?

I thought that his pipe-making had evolved a bit more slowly... I could have sworn that he wasn't making regs as recently as the late 1990s... ?

Brian c, Howard was making regs 30 years ago! Ask Finbar Furey. :D

As far as I know he stopped offering them for a while while he developed his newer style regs, which are similar (in one respect only), in apperance to the taylors, with a bent bass bar.

PJ, thanks man. Oak John Lally was born exactly four weeks ago.

Thanks for the update... back when I'd first met BH, he was redesigning his pipes & retooling his shop (IIRC...) and at that time he didn't offer regs on them.

Congratulations and best wishes on the birth of your son... your life is changing quickly now, I'll bet.
