The fiddle tune comes from Scottish singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean. It was originally published as "The Gael" on his 1991 album "The Search", which was commissioned as a soundtrack for the Official Loch Ness Monster Exhibition in Drumnadrochit. I was on my way to the Isle of Skye in 1991, stopped by the museum for a cheap tourist thrill, liked the music and bought the CD in the gift shop. I ended up becoming a big fan of his songwriting. For those of you in SoCal, Dougie is playing at Neighborhood Church in Pasadena on March 26.PJ wrote:It's a nice tune. It sounds Scottish. Who composed it?
