I hope I'm not violating any rules by posting this, but I figured folks here may be interested. If it does violate the rules, mods, please don't hesititate to take it down. I'm posting it in the pub as well, as there may be people at C&F who would find the music interesting, even if they don't speak Irish.
Mary Mc Laughlin is making a new CD, "Sacred Days, Mythic Ways," featuring music from both the pagan and the Christian traditions in Ireland. Most of the songs are in Irish, but a few (such as the one that opens the video on this site) are traditional Latin chants. I've heard several rough cuts from the prospective CD, and the music is just stunning.
Some of the songs on the CD may surprise you: For example, did you know that "An Cailín Deas Crúite na mBó" is actually from the fairy tradition? Mary does an amazing job with it!
I'm not asking you to contribute to the campaign (unless you want to, of course...there are some nice perks!), but figured I'd give those who enjoy vocal music in Irish a heads up that this CD will be coming out in October, and that it's going to be fantastic!
Here's a link to the video, which has a couple of cuts from the CD on it:

In case you're not familiar with her, here's info on Mary Mc Laughlin (who, by the way, also happens to be my Irish teacher!):
