FS: Hawkes & Son, 8 key flute in cocus, price reduced

Post by O_Gaiteiro_do_Chicago »

Posted this on the flute forum, but would assume it's okay to post here too?

I have a really nice Hawkes and Son I need to sell. The Hawkes I have is serial#2612, and is in really great shape overall. I had Jon C repair the original headjoint, and a few small cracks in the body. He also made me an additional cocus headjoint with matching rings. It's a killer flute, it'll knock your socks off. Actually some fellow bandmates of mine are annoyed by this flute, they claim it's too loud..... ;) The tuning is spot on, and the keywork is all in working order. It has a Boehm style foot, which is a lot easier to maintain. The flute even comes with the original case, as well as the two cork grease containers, and cleaning rod. I am asking a very fair price of $1,900, Hawkes and Son flutes are not all that common, and they are a great workhorse of a flute. Here's all the vital statistics....
