Name that tune

Post by bayswater »

Hi,

I was at a business event the other night and a couple of Irish musicians played some lovely tunes. Among those tunes were this one - which I already know - but I cannot recall the name. Can anyone recognize it?

You can hear a small recording I did here:

Cheers!

Tell us something.: Some of my original tunes are displayed at https://thesession.org/members/49476
I play several flutes, many whistles, many guitars, bouzouki, banjo, and own way too many pedals.
I could open a music store if I didn't live in the back woods of Pennsylvania.

The short clip sounds like "The Sweetness of Mary",
a strathspey written by Joan MacDonald and made popular by Jerry Holland.

That's the one. Thank you! Now - can you please help me remember where I've heard it ;-)

Thanks again!
