The short-F seems to have had crappy work done on it....
but the remainder appears decent.

Hmmm.... Looks like mine.

The head looks like it had a real nasty crack and was pinned sometime ago.

Looks like a metal cork screw.

No shot of the Emb. Would need to see that I would think.

German silver.

i think not
look at the close up photos
the main has the patina of it....but the others are clearly sterling.
never seen a wylde in german silver.
and the patch job to the short F couldn't be done like that with German silver, i don't believe

I was looking at the green patina.

I thought that might be an indicator of cupro-nickel.

Yes, German silver through and through...
It does look just like Kevin Krell's, but his keys were mangled more... :D
I like the A. Liddle keywork, he made nice sealing pewter plugs. I wonder if there is a AL under the C# key touch? To bad there is the ugly pinned crack on the head joint.

You can't even tell they worked on the short F... :P

Interesting game dynamics. Who's going to buy the flute to win $100 (and prove a point)?

I also vote on the keys being nickel-silver. Sterling tarnishes differently and ns turns more of a flat gray from what I've seen. The short F "repair" looks a little off-center and slightly horrendous lol!

the short F is butt ugly

the off center could have been intentional, it makes it easier to slide off the key to the E hole

Sorry David, but I have had two Wylde flutes in my shop that were German silver. I don't think there is any other explanation for GREEN SLIME...
As a consolation, Andrew once bought a flute thinking it had silver keys, only to find that they were polished, but German silver.

And doesn't the Long F strike you as perhaps a little truncated? Or perhaps it's just an unfortunate angle, and we can't see the touch.

Bit like those ghastly electric guitars with no tuning head. Always reminded me of decapitated chickens, running around the backyard of the people next door when I was young.

I hated Sundays. So, I imagine, did the chickens.
