How do you record the flute?
I'm having some trouble getting a good sound recording my flute.
My Gear: MXL usb condenser mic with a desktop mic stand
Macbook with Garageband
I don't know much about recording wind instruments. Where is the best positioning for the mic?
Any advice much appreciated!

I record with a Zoom H4 within a few inches of the built in mic -- without any hiss. Plunk111, may I suggest putting the mic setting on medium and keeping the digital amplification set at the factory setting. I can't remember what that is.plunk111 wrote:I record with a Zoom H4 from across the room - gets rid of the "hiss".

I use "BEHRINGER C - 3" microphone and "Alto L-6 mixing console".
After recordering i usually edit that in "Аdobe audition".
I'm just a beginner... =)
