Hammy Hamilton workshop in San Fransisco

Post by plamas »

Hi All,
Turns out myself and piper Eoin Ó Riabhaigh ( late of Scoiltrad) will be in San Fransisco from the 4th to the 10th of November.
Our schedule is not fully worked out yet, but we'll be based in The Plough and Stars, and part of the visit will be a teaching workshop me on flute and Eoin on pipes.
I'll let you know dates times, locations, etc. as soon as I have them.
I'd appreciate if someone could cross post this to any/all of the piping lists?
Thanks and all the best
Hammy Hamilton

C'mon, Aanvil, the man's making it to SF, all the way from Ireland, and now you're asking him to get to your neighborhood?

Sheesh!

Sheesh!

Hehe... hey, I haven't forgotten that aspect. I admit to feeling a little sheepish even asking.

I have obligations that preclude me from traveling up North right now.

I just thought they my be on a bit of a west coast tour, as I honestly don't know, so it did seem reasonable to ask anyway.

I would love to go to this workshop! I will be in San Francisco soon, but my plane ticket has me flying home on Nov. 2. I am seriously considering changing it. Do keep us posted!

Tell us something.: I am an Irish flute player and whistler. I have been a member since 2007? This has been one of the most informative sites on Irish flute I have found.

I'd also love to make it. Looking forward to the details. Will pass it on to any and all.

The Plough and Stars website currently lists shows at 9 PM on the 4th (Tuesday), 6th (Thursday), and 9th (Sunday) of November, but gives no information other than names and times.

Are the teaching sessions part of the scheduled shows, after, or other times entirely? Dunno if my skill level is high enough for the teaching workshop ("duffer" would be kind description) but I'd like to attend if possible.
