Tell us something.: Of course I'm not a bot; I've been here for years... Apparently that isn't enough to pass muster though!

FWIW, I sold this flute to Barry; I wasn't the original owner though and I can't remember who I got it off of. 'Tis a lovely flute really and when Eliam had it for sale I actually considered buying it back.

Thanks for the update Avery. I didn't know who had it before Barry. It is indeed a lovely flute. I'll miss it, but really it should be in the hands of someone who will play it.

sure is a great flute, as i was selling my keylessCollection, i kept it till' the end, something about it is very special, and so light. i miss it, and at a different times probably would have jumped on the opportunity to get it back, but i'm still on my quest of eliminating and simplifying......advancing twostepsforwardoneback at a time ;).

Yes, I would love to revisit this flute, but funds don't allow me to do so now, even though Dow did offer. It's a very nice one, and I wouldn't have sold it if I hadn't needed the money at the time.

Doubt you will find much nice Boxwood like this in the future, even with it's character "flaws", it's still beautiful wood. Light on the hands too, which is great for those whose hands need a lighter load.

It likes to be played harder, to bring out its beautiful, expressive voice. Though I played it very often at quieter levels and still it had a lovely tone. It's an easy spread too, for a Pratten flute, so just about anyone would be able to play it. Just wish it was me who would play it again. Oh well, as the cookie crumbles! ; )

Enjoy!

Favourite Flute: Are you out there?

I just got a PM from you about my flute. Unfortunately, you've got PM's disabled, and I can't answer you. Please turn your PM's back on and let me know, or contact me with other contact info.

Thanks,
Dow

Oh, and thanks for the great comments on the flute, Barry. I'm really going to miss it, but it needs playing more than I need to keep it, lol.
