I guess you could say that. I mean, it's essentially the same thing, only powered by Google.

It's dizzying, the possibilities. Ashes, Ashes all fall down.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Thanks; but I'm now logged in to my gmail account, and I still can't access the photos.

Sorry these images seem to be difficult to see, but I can't find a way of making them show in the actual post. The image URL does not appear in the google drive.

I have now removed the keys and sealed the joints, tone holes and cracks. It will play down to a fairly weak and out of tune D.
Will definitely get it restored I think.

I didn't have a problem at all seeing the images.

You might try imageshack.com

It's free.

I should have thought to put my location. I'm in Leeds, U.K.
Sorry, missed that part. Send me a PM and let's have a look at it. I've one a bit like it, plays well, and I've another that needs fixing.

I'm out of the country for a few days, might be around at the weekend, or come down to the Wednesday night session at the Chemic next week and say hello.

Tell us something.: I restore 19th century flutes, specializing in Rudall & Rose, and early American flutes. I occasionally make new flutes. Been at it for about 15 years.

Get a good hot soldering iron and carefully heat up all the grommets, they are held on with shellac and probably leaking...

Had a look at the flute this eveving Jem, would be an easy fixer up for you, will sound fine, mostly new pad and a crack in the head that isn't affecting the playing. Also a loose block. Seems to have a replacement Bb key on it. Suggested you give it a go anyway.
