Hi there. I got a set of Jon Swayne Low C's from Ian Clabburn (of the Bagpipe Society) in the summer. These are his 'Anglo-French' border pipes, and play 1.5 octaves, with accidentals. They're in a fruitwood - plum, I think - with black plastic mounts, drone and chanter stop switches. Bellows blown, with a set of Julian Goodacre bellows and a spare chanter reed. They were serviced and the bag seasoned by Jon C in the spring.
My rudimentary bellows technique hasn't proved up to these, lovely though they've been on the occasions I've managed to get them going, and I don't have the time now to put the p=work in! It's not right to leave these lying around unplayed, and they'd make a fantastic present for someone who wants to avoid the lengthy wait for Jon's instruments.
I'm looking for what I paid for them, £1500 plus postage. If you have any trades in mind, though, let me know - a keyed flute or NSP's spring to mind.
