Mandocello
Does anyone here play mandocello for Irish/Scottish music? If so - what do you play? (Instrument and tunes.)

Re: Mandocello
The Irish Music School of Chicago owns and loans a mandocello to one of their students. It has been affectionately nick named "the fun box." That one is an antique instrument once owned by Joseph Sobel I believe. I have not played it and I don't know how they tune it.But it sounds very nice. Jesse Langen is the expert on that particular instrument. You could try friending him on Facebook and see if he replies. I don't believe he's a member here.

Re: Mandocello
We have had a mandocello as one of the principal backup instruments in our sessions here in San Diego for many years. 100+ year old Gibson.
