What sad news.I was only thinking of them yesterday. I have been communicating with Lesley since her heart transplant sending her jokes from my grandchildren which always made her laugh. Like others I was thinking that at least they are still together.
I will be thinking of them tomorrow morning
Condolences to the family

Byll, is there a funeral home or website where people can leave messages of condolence and remembrance?

Also, where will the burial be, in case people passing through Devon in the future might want to stop and pay their respects?

I am shocked and sad to hear about Lesley and Roland's death.
To be killed on the road is so utterly unnecessary, it makes me mad.
My heart goes out to all who loved them.
Peace be with you.

At this point in time, it is simply too soon I think, for anyone in Devon to think about a website or other location for messages. While the service was in Lesley's church, I do not yet know where they are buried. if I am able to find out any information, I will pass it on. Right now, there is no place like numb.

Best.

I, too, came to feel like I knew Leslie and Roland from afar through this message board. I don't check in often, but when I do check in I always to look to see if Leslie has posted and how she's doing. My condolences to Byll and to all Leslie and Roland's family and friends. I'm so sad this happened.

my eyes are filled with tears.....I am so sorry to read this.
its a consolation that at least, they're together.

two beautiful people that will be sorely missed.
they touched you deep with their passion for life and their love and were a fabulous support for those who needed it.
I was one of those and it meant a lot for me.....will always remember.
my sympathies.

I have just read this news. I don't check the boards nearly so often as I should, and I missed this.

I am deeply saddened to learn of their death.

I don't check in as often these days either and had also missed this terrible news.
I echo James' sentiment.

I, too, have been away far too long, for this is the first I've heard of this. My heart grieves so much more! They both will be mourned, and missed everyday. The world is a darker place without our Devondancer.
