Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: The Cat Organ.

An unworthy, barbaric idea. But on the other hand, on the Web there are no Dog Organs that I can find, other than hearts and kidneys and stuff. I'm just sayin'.

Dogs have long been a favourite subject of fine art, both musical and visual. There's the great Dogs singing Christmas Carols albums, the famous dogs playing poker painting. That painting has further spawned the great textiles such as dogs playing poker rugs and wall hangings found only at small exclusive single picnic table rest-stops off the beaten path hanging on ropes tied from tree to tree.

The cats will not be outdone. They have inspired works of serious art, such as the Duetto buffo di due gatti by Rossini. And if cholesterol-laden classics aren't good enough for ya, here's a most tasteful figurine suitable for any - and I mean any - décor, the "Bubble Fairy Cat":

Don't bother rubbing your eyes; it's real. A startling piece of genius, no?

It even needs a toenail trim. That is seriously strange.

I took my wife to see the Broadway touring company's performance of "Cats" this afternoon. In addition to being reminded in "Memories" of all the things that I used to be able to do but can't do now, I did learn that "Cats are not dogs". I already knew that, but it never hurts to be reminded of a basic reality.
