There are other things to do besides stand or sit around and drink or stand or sit around and play musical instruments.

When we visit friends and family in England we like pubs that have skittles. The wife beats everybody at darts, either hand, it's disgusting.

Wouldn't BEER DRINKING GAMES be considered drinking? And I don't understand #7...scoring at what?

Yes, exactly! Wouldn't beer drinking games be drinking? And I thought scoring was keeping tally of . . . scores . . . an honorable and useful occupation for a nondrinking lass in a pub, I would think. I had already resolved to bring a notepad and pencil.

Either way, helpful is good, the poor thing. This is C&F, after all.

Far be it from ME to make presumptions. I am well and away too, too pure of heart to have what it takes to tell a cry for help from crying "wolf", of course.

I remember a pub that had a popular ring and hook game (AKA Bimini Ring Game, AKA Ringing the bull). Amazing how much time people can waste playing with $3 worth of hardware. Without a slot to put a coin into though, it is a rare game. In the coffee shops that I use to go to, Playing spades was the normal social activity.
