Well... I suppose that some women will respond well to being gifted with a doorknob, but I suspect a ring, that fits her finger, and doesn't require either a wheelbarrow or an armed guard, might be more tempting.

As an update to any interested - Gwen and I will wed on Saturday, the 29th of May...just under three weeks from now! Can hardly wait to see the family again, to have my own father do the ceremony, and of course to wed on the steps of the lighthouse where I proposed.
