My tattoo
Ok, I don't have one, but I'm thinking about getting a really large one on my back. It'll be a tattoo showing a dermatologist removing a tattoo from my back. And if you look really closely at my back in the tattoo, you'll be able to see a tiny version of the tattoo on my back....in the tattoo. And so on. I'm not sure what kind of resolution you can get on a tattoo.

Re: My tattoo
I have one on my right arm..
Pre-decimal ..one pound and fifteen shillings at the time...
I often think about getting another one...
After thirty six years the one I have must be feeling a bit lonely...
Mrs. D has often said that she would "sponsor" another one..
I'm just trying to figure out what part of my body can stand a line that sez " Life if possible, Art at any cost"...
and a small little Scottish terrier as well...
That or nothing...
Indeed...
Slan,
D.

Re: My tattoo
So do I.
The back is a good place for a tatoo, since when getting (even ) older, the skin won't lose too much of it's tension. Also, check who does the tatoo. Not if the pictures he/she makes are beautifull, but rather find some people tatooed by that person 10yrs ago - mostly, they either bleach out, or the narrow lines become really thick- to let tatooes look good after a longer time is the real art about it!
And don't worry about the pain - it's not worse that touching nettles.
I myself have a celtic cross on my ankle, since there was an ugly operation-scar before...

I see the hat tip to Albrecht Durer & Vinnie Van G. Anyone recognise the guy in the middle wearing Paul Brady's face?fearfaoin wrote:

Re: My tattoo
Please have the clock on the wall say 10 o'clock and have the dermatologist with a tatoo of taps on his arm. A tattoo of a tattoo at the time that tattoo was played on the arm of the person removing a tattoo would be a nice touch.
I would suggest that you commission an artist to make a high resolution version of what you want. Even if you don't get it, the digital image would fun to zoom in on.

You could just have the word "Edinburgh".
It would be your Edinburgh Tattoo.
