Look up some of the fiction posted on the forum by Jim Stone. The philosopher has given it some thought, some time. A lot of people (especially young males) prefer the comfort of video games or similar to conversing or interacting with humans.
There is also the possibility of hybrid computers, that are part living tissue, mostly circuits. This blurs the line, and makes the social questions that much harder.
